Jose Mourinho side managed to hold on to their narrow lead at the top to win their fourth consecutive league crown and they have a very good chance of winning a treble as they will be playing against Bayern Munich in the Champions League final on 22 May.
AS Roma gave them a real go in the league this term but fell short in end, as Inter continued their great Run of from. In a nervous finale to the season, Inter started the day with a two point Serie A lead and when news trickled down that Roma were up 2-0 in their match, there were some worried faces. However, after an excellent run by Javier Zanetti, unsurprisingly top-scorer Milito calmed his team-mates with an instinctive finish – his 22nd league goal of the season – and it was enough to win theit fifth consecutive Scudetto!
