They are the World Cup winners for 4 times, and they have reached the final in the last 5 out of 6 finals winning 4 of them and have been the most dominant form team in World Cricket. Thier World Cup success came in the following years, Won the First World Cup in 1987, played the final in 1996 but lost to Sri Lanka. Since than never looked back and won three consecutive finals defeating three different asian teams in the process.

Having said that they are no longer the force they use to be, Sri Lanka defeated them i nthe three match ODI series towards the end of the 2010 year, lost to India in Sub Continent wickets so this time it will be very huge task for them to win their fourth consecutive trophy but it is not impossible.
